In the series of the Burning Dog paintings, I depicted aspects of the Unfamiliar or Freudian Uncanny (Das Unheimlich). The archetypical elements of the Dog, Fire, the Urban Environments emerged through "accidental" painting procedures.
I tend to use them as Symbolic Elements of an aggressive sexual energy and a fear towards the contemporary zeitgeist. The pictorial space is organized trough near-abstract arrangement of volumes of monochromatic colors.
